This grant supports projects that enhance sustainable management of U.S. commercial longline fisheries interacting with endangered marine turtles in the Pacific. Funded activities include monitoring and protection of western Pacific leatherback sea turtles in the Coral Triangle, North Pacific loggerhead sea turtles in Japan, and building conservation capacity for endangered marine turtles linked to U.S. trust resources in international waters.
