Provides financial assistance to eligible organizations for projects that identify, research, evaluate, interpret, protect, restore, repair, and acquire historic Japanese American confinement sites from World War II. Funding supports activities at ten designated War Relocation Authority sites and other significant locations to promote education and equal justice.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments, private higher education institutions, state and local governments, independent school districts, and nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status excluding higher education institutions.
