This grant funds projects that collect and analyze samples for phytoplankton community abundance, composition, and chlorophyll-a concentrations as part of the Great Lakes Biology Monitoring Program. The work supports ecosystem condition assessments, invasive species impact evaluation, and fisheries and habitat management within the Great Lakes basin.
