This award supports conceptually innovative research aimed at accelerating progress in reducing Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases, improving patient care and quality of life. It encourages new concepts and paradigm-challenging approaches rather than incremental advances. A Career Development Option is available for early-career investigators conducting mechanism-relevant research under mentorship, reviewed separately with a lower cost limit.
