The FY26 Vision Research Program Investigator-Initiated Research Award supports basic through early translational research on eye injury and visual dysfunction related to military exposure. It funds preclinical and clinical research aligned with VRP Focus Areas but excludes clinical trials. Two funding levels are offered, including a Partnering PI option. Applications undergo peer and programmatic review focusing on research quality, impact, and military health relevance.
