The Translational Research Award supports innovative translational research projects that accelerate the conversion of scientific findings into impactful clinical applications. It excludes basic research and clinical trials and requires preliminary data. Applicants choose between two research levels: refining mature concepts or evaluating products for first-in-human studies. Human subject research must include community-based participatory research approaches. An Early-Career Investigator partnering option allows two PIs to receive separate awards.
