Supports multi-state projects for wildlife restoration, sport fish restoration, and recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) efforts that address priority needs beyond a single state. Eligible projects include research, conservation, management, public use, hunter safety, education, and outreach activities involving wild birds, mammals, sport fish, and their habitats. Grants are awarded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in cooperation with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.
Eligible applicants include public and private institutions of higher education, state governments, nonprofits with and without 501(c)(3) status, and others as specified. Applicants must be involved in fish and wildlife conservation activities.
