This funding opportunity supports projects focused on controlling and preventing Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in farmed and wild cervids. Activities include surveillance, testing, management, response, and evaluation of control strategies. Proposals may also cover indemnification and removal of affected farmed cervids. Separate funding streams exist for wild cervids, Tribal nations, and farmed cervids, with a total of approximately $12 million available for fiscal year 2026.
