This grant supports preservation and conservation of nationally significant historic collections held by museums, libraries, archives, and other collecting institutions. Funded activities include physical conservation, curation, care, and collections management. Grants require a dollar-for-dollar non-Federal match and are awarded through a competitive process. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, government entities, tribal organizations, and educational institutions.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits (with or without 501(c)(3) status), county, city, township, state, and special district governments, Native American tribal governments and organizations, and public and private institutions of higher education.
