Supports experienced nonprofits, state and local governments, and public housing authorities in implementing home modification programs for low-income elderly persons. Funded activities include safety repairs and renovations that reduce fall risks, improve accessibility, and enhance functional abilities to enable seniors to remain in their homes rather than move to assisted care facilities.
Eligible applicants include experienced nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, state and local governments, and public housing authorities with at least 3 years of experience serving elderly adults. Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorships are not eligible.
