This funding supports the establishment of two protected areas: Kitaskinaw Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area in Manitoba and a proposed national park in Teetł’it Gwinjik (Peel River) Watershed, Yukon. Funded activities include facilitating dialogue among stakeholders, providing technical and conservation-planning expertise, and identifying strategies to resolve mineral claims as part of the park establishment process.
