This grant program funds the physical preservation of a wide range of cultural resources associated with the founding of the United States, commemorating its 250th anniversary. Eligible projects include preservation of buildings, sites, structures, objects, or historic districts listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The competitive grants do not require a non-Federal match but may consider it as a competitive factor. Funding is available for fiscal years 2025 and 2026.
Eligible applicants include private and public institutions of higher education, Native American tribal organizations and governments, county and city governments, state governments, and nonprofits both with and without 501(c)(3) status.
