This grant funds federally recognized Tribes, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiian Organizations to protect and promote their tribal heritage. Funded activities include preserving traditional skills, oral histories, important plant and animal species, sacred and historic places, and establishing tribal historic preservation offices.
Eligible applicants include federally recognized Native American tribal governments, other Native American tribal organizations, and others as specified in additional eligibility information.
