Supports land conservation projects in the Highlands Region where State, County, or Municipal entities acquire land or interests from willing sellers to protect high conservation value resources. Funding covers up to 50% of project costs. Only Governors of Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania may submit proposals for the Base Funding Round. Projects cannot be funded under both Base and Competitive rounds.
Eligible applicants are State governments of Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Proposals must be submitted by Governors of these states.
