This grant supports projects that enhance collaboration between tribal education agencies and state/local educational agencies, focusing on capacity building to administer education programs under ESEA. Funded activities include recruiting educators, promoting student career exploration, and supporting tribal charter schools or conversion of BIE-operated schools to tribal operation.
Eligible applicants are Indian Tribes, Tribal Organizations approved by Indian Tribes, Tribal Educational Agencies (TEAs), and consortia thereof, particularly those located on reservations.
