This grant supports competitive funding for interjurisdictional projects that implement Great Lakes Interstate Aquatic Invasive Species Management Plans. It prioritizes projects focused on pathway intervention, detection activities, and active prevention. Both sustaining projects continuing prior work and new projects with potential to improve regional AIS management are eligible. Only Great Lakes states and tribes or their designees may apply, with funding aligned to Great Lakes Panel regional priorities.
Eligible applicants are Great Lakes states and tribes or their designees. One application is sought from a state or tribal natural resource agency in the Great Lakes Basin, which may designate any entity to apply on their behalf.
