This funding supports domestic nonprofits, educational institutions, and for-profit organizations to develop safeguards against proliferation risks posed by chemical and biological AI-enabled molecular models. Projects should advance efforts to identify, evaluate, and mitigate misuse risks, addressing key objectives outlined in the solicitation. Collaboration with partner organizations is encouraged when applicable.
Eligible applicants include domestic nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (excluding institutions of higher education), educational institutions, and for-profit organizations. Collaboration with partner organizations is allowed if separately responding to the solicitation.
