The Stanley C. Israel Regional Award recognizes individuals or organizations that have developed programs increasing participation of diverse and historically marginalized groups in chemistry. It provides a $1,250 grant and up to $1,500 reimbursement for travel to the ACS regional meeting where the award is presented. Eligible nominees must reside in the region of the meeting and have demonstrated impactful diversity initiatives.
Nominees must be from academia, industry, government, or independent entities within the award region. They must have fostered programs supporting underrepresented groups in chemistry. International applicants are not eligible.
