This funding supports On-Farm Conservation Innovation Trials that provide producers with technical assistance and incentives to adopt and evaluate innovative conservation methods. Projects must focus on irrigation management technologies, new grazing land management solutions, nutrient management, or soil health demonstration trials. Awards support projects lasting 3 to 5 years with up to $50 million available in total funding.
Eligible applicants include county, state, city, and special district governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status; institutions of higher education; for-profit organizations excluding small businesses; and small businesses.
