This grant supports U.S. small business concerns submitting SBIR Phase I and Fast-Track applications to fund research and development while providing entrepreneurial training, mentoring, and career development for early-career scientists transitioning into entrepreneurship. Key personnel must include a committed mentor, and applicants must align with NIH and CDC R&D missions.
Eligible applicants are United States small business concerns as defined by the SBA. Individuals serving as PD/PI must be first-time independent investigators who are U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents.
