This grant supports U.S. small businesses led by early-career scientists transitioning to entrepreneurship. It funds Small Business Technology Transfer Phase I and Fast-Track projects that include research, development, entrepreneurial training, mentoring, and career development. Applicants must be first-time PD/PIs with a committed industry mentor and align with NIH's R&D missions.
Eligible applicants are U.S. small business concerns as defined by the SBA. PD/PIs must be first-time independent investigators who are U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents.
