This noncompetitive, invitational funding opportunity provides $20 million to eligible governmental and tribal entities to develop and acquire effective law enforcement equipment, technologies, and interoperable communications. Funded projects must support crime response and prevention and expand community policing efforts, complying with standards from the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Office of Law Enforcement Standards.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), state, county, city or township, and special district governments, as well as other designated entities under the Community Oriented Policing Services program.
