This grant supports Federally recognized Tribal entities in building management, organizational, and technical capacity to maximize economic benefits from energy resource development on Indian land. Funded activities include developing business and legal structures and pursuing the TERA Pathways Initiative for Tribal energy self-determination. Projects may also prioritize activities celebrating America's 250th birthday.
Eligible applicants are Federally recognized Native American tribal governments and Native American tribal organizations that are not federally recognized. The grant targets Tribal entities focused on energy development capacity.
