It supports research experience including participation in clinical trials led by mentors but prohibits scholars from leading independent clinical trials. The award targets a broad range of eligible U.S.-based organizations and excludes foreign entities.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, small businesses, and tribal organizations. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply.
