This program funds acquisition of land and water and development or renovation of outdoor recreation facilities in qualifying urban areas and federally recognized tribal or Native Hawaiian communities. Projects must ensure public outdoor recreation access in perpetuity and comply with Land and Water Conservation Fund laws and national priorities. Matching funds covering at least 50% of project costs are required. Eligible applicants include state governments, tribal governments, and designated agencies.
