This grant supports tribal law enforcement agencies by funding technical assistance programs such as the Village Public Safety Officer training academy and Tribal Community Response Plans. It aims to develop capacity for community policing through innovative and effective strategies aligned with Administration priorities to prevent crime.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), tribal organizations, private and public institutions of higher education, independent school districts, and those invited directly by the COPS Office.
