This program funds watershed group development, restoration planning, and watershed management project planning and design. It supports local solutions to water management challenges, promoting cooperation among diverse stakeholders to enhance water reliability and sustainable use in eligible U.S. states and territories.
Eligible applicants include existing watershed groups or entities sponsoring new watershed groups located in specified U.S. states and territories. Eligible sponsors include states, Tribes, local or special districts, non-profits, and institutes of higher education.
