This grant funds projects aimed at finding, studying, protecting, and managing archaeological resources in Lincoln County, Nevada. Funded activities include protecting sites, caring for collections, sharing research, increasing public involvement, and balancing land use with conservation goals. Projects must comply with the Lincoln County Land Act and focus on resources at least 100 years old.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits (with or without 501(c)(3) status except higher education), Native American tribal governments and organizations, special district, county, state, city or township governments, and public or private institutions of higher education.
