This funding supports projects that develop partnerships to enhance access to and use of heritage resources, promoting their educational, scientific, cultural, and recreational values. Activities include conducting studies, monitoring and stabilizing at-risk resources, training future practitioners, managing cultural data, preserving collections, broadening public access, engaging Native American communities, and supporting tribal consultation efforts.
Eligible applicants include public and state-controlled higher education institutions, county and city governments, special district governments, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status, Native American tribal organizations and federally recognized tribal governments, and private higher educatio
