The SOFT Innovation Prize rewards excellence in innovation within magnetic confinement fusion research. It supports innovations with market potential or industry uptake, emphasizing originality, replicability, technical excellence, and economic impact. Eligible applicants include researchers, teams, and industrial participants linked to Euratom, ITER partner countries, or third countries with bilateral fusion cooperation agreements. Prize amounts range from EUR 20,000 to EUR 50,000.
Open to researchers, teams, or industrial participants eligible under Euratom 2021-2025, ITER partner countries (excluding Russia), or third countries with bilateral fusion agreements. Permission from IPR owners is required.
