About this grant

This funding opportunity supports faculty research at predominantly undergraduate institutions (PUIs) in NSF-supported fields. It includes Research in Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) proposals for individual or collaborative projects and shared instrumentation, and Research Opportunity Awards (ROA) that enable faculty to work as visiting scientists at research-intensive organizations. Proposals must be submitted by eligible PUIs with limited Ph.D./D.Sci. degree awards and are evaluated by NSF disciplinary programs.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are accredited predominantly undergraduate institutions (PUIs), including two-year community colleges, awarding Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degrees in NSF-supported fields, with 20 or fewer Ph.D./D.Sci. degrees awarded in the past two academic years.
