This funding supports comprehensive initiatives to improve behavioral health care in correctional settings. Activities include gap analyses of services, policy reviews to align with national standards, stakeholder engagement, and creation of evidence-based behavioral health training e-courses for correctional staff. The goal is to enhance staff skills, promote wellness, and foster safer correctional environments.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations waiving profit, and institutions of higher education, including tribal entities. Foreign governments and international organizations are not eligible. Proof of 501(c)(3) status or tribal resolution is required.
