This opportunity funds research to develop and mature communications and networking technologies essential for Naval distributed maritime operations. Projects should focus on enabling seamless, robust connectivity across diverse platforms and domains, addressing challenges such as mobility, spectrum limitations, interference, and operational warfare conditions. Collaboration and data sharing among contractors and system integrators are encouraged to support the Naval Tactical Grid architecture.
Eligible applicants include academia, industry, and the research community worldwide, including Historically Black Colleges and Minority Institutions. Federally Funded Research & Development Centers and Navy laboratories are not eligible to receive awards but may participate in teaming arrangements.
