The FY26 Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research Program Idea Development Award funds innovative, high-risk/high-reward research projects with strong scientific rationale and preliminary data. It supports therapies demonstrating efficacy across all life stages, including infants and nonambulatory individuals. Clinical trials are excluded. Three investigator categories are eligible: established, early-stage, and transitioning investigators.
Open to independent investigators at all academic levels, including established, early-stage, and transitioning investigators. Preliminary DMD-relevant data required. Clinical trials not allowed.
