Supports research projects at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions that enhance research infrastructure and capacity in scientific and engineering disciplines critical to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Projects must advance basic naval-relevant science and technology, promote faculty and student engagement in STEM, and foster cross-institutional collaboration to address naval S&T challenges. Single PI awards only, requiring U.S. citizenship and tenure-track faculty status.
Eligible applicants are covered educational institutions as defined by 10 U.S.C. §4144, including institutions eligible under Title III or V of the Higher Education Act or accredited minority post-secondary institutions.
