This funding opportunity supports innovative research projects that evaluate collaborative, system-level strategies to recruit, train, support, and retain families for children and youth with complex or high-acuity needs to achieve permanency through adoption. Projects must be led by researchers working within or closely with child welfare agencies and use rigorous methods to study implementation and effectiveness. Partnerships with Medicaid 1115 projects, private adoption agencies, and community organizations are encouraged.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and tribal governments; public institutions; nonprofits; private and for-profit organizations; and faith-based and community organizations. Individual applicants and foreign entities are not eligible.
