The Community Services Block Grant funds a range of services aimed at helping low-income families and individuals gain skills and resources for self-sufficiency. Funded activities include child and youth services, education, emergency aid, employment support, nutrition, health, housing, and transportation. Eligible entities collaborate with local organizations to improve services based on community needs assessments.
Eligible entities are 60 private nonprofit and local government organizations across California currently receiving CSBG funds.
