This program funds multicenter clinical trials and associated mechanistic studies to improve outcomes in organ transplantation including heart, lung, kidney, liver, and intestinal transplants. It also supports trials involving non-hematopoietic cellular transplantation, vascularized composite tissue transplantation, and transplantation of bone marrow or immunologically active cells as adjunct therapies.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of government entities, educational institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, tribal governments, and other specified organizations including foreign institutions.
