This grant funds projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions on Tribal lands through extensive electrification upgrades in residences, solar photovoltaic installations targeting net-zero electricity, electrification of the Tribal vehicle fleet, and installation of vehicle charging infrastructure. It also supports professional development and certification for renewable energy construction and operations jobs, enhancing economic resilience and reducing pollution for the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
Eligible applicants include States, local governments, Tribes, and territories. The grant targets entities capable of implementing electrification and renewable energy projects on Tribal lands.
