This program funds collaborative teams to edit, annotate, and translate foundational humanities texts essential for new scholarship. Projects must focus on American history and culture or Western civilization. Eligible applicants include various government entities, nonprofits, and higher education institutions. The grant supports producing editions or translations not currently available in adequate form.
Eligible applicants include special district governments, state and local governments, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (excluding higher education institutions), federally recognized Native American tribal governments, and both public and private institutions of higher education.
