This grant supports eligible organizations to develop and conduct instructor-led training addressing up to two OSHA-specified targeted topics. The training focuses on workplace hazards, hazard avoidance, controls, worker rights, and employer responsibilities under the OSH Act. Awards are for a 12-month period with a maximum of $215,000 per grant, targeting small business employers and workers.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, OSHA-approved State Plans, entities operating On-Site Consultation programs, and OSHA Training Institute Education Centers. Organizations may receive only one Susan Harwood Training Grant award per fiscal year.
