This program funds the creation of debate teams in Indonesian high schools to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and English proficiency. It includes teacher training, student engagement on digital rights and AI, and a national debate championship in Jakarta. The initiative aims to strengthen civic literacy and foster U.S.-Indonesia ties through youth leadership development and public awareness campaigns.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, civil society/non-governmental organizations, public and private educational institutions, public international organizations, and governmental institutions. For-profit entities are not eligible.
