The MERC Program funds joint applied scientific research and innovation partnerships between the U.S., Israel, and Middle East/North Africa countries. Projects must address shared regional challenges, demonstrate potential for application and commercialization, and strengthen U.S. technological leadership and economic interests. Collaboration among organizations from Israel, MENA countries, and the U.S. is required to build networks, promote innovation, and foster long-term regional cooperation and stability.
Eligible applicants include public and private educational institutions, corporations, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, civil society groups, public international organizations, and governmental institutions.
