This grant supports groups of two or more scholars conducting collaborative research on American history and culture or Western civilization. Funded projects include preparing manuscripts for print publication, creating scholarly digital projects, or planning international collaborations that address significant research questions and produce interpretive scholarly products.
Eligible applicants include city, county, state, and special district governments; federally recognized Native American tribal governments; private and public institutions of higher education; and nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status excluding institutions of higher education.
