This grant funds nonprofit organizations to lead and execute regional fire science exchanges in one of nine U.S. regions over two years. Activities focus on facilitating fire science collaboration and knowledge exchange to support wildland fire management. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) IRS status, excluding institutions of higher education. Proposals must be specific to one of nine designated U.S. regions.
