This funding supports the organization of two disaster preparedness forums—one on Okinawa main island and one on Miyako Island—over a 15-month period. The project focuses on strengthening disaster preparedness and crisis response capacity across Okinawa and the Southwest Islands through structured, expert-led interactive forums that promote U.S.-Japan cooperation in emergency management.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations (with or without 501(c)(3) status), public and private educational institutions, individuals, public international organizations, governmental institutions, and foreign-based NGOs.
