This program funds freestanding children's hospitals to support their graduate medical education programs. Funding helps train resident physicians and dentists. Eligible hospitals must have Medicare payment agreements, be excluded from Medicare IPPS, and participate in approved residency training programs.
Eligible applicants are freestanding children's hospitals with Medicare payment agreements, excluded from Medicare IPPS, and participating in approved GME residency programs. Both currently eligible and newly qualified hospitals may apply.
