The FY26 Collaborative Reform Initiative funds law enforcement agencies through two programs: CRI-TAC provides customizable, short-term technical assistance on over 60 policing topics, while Critical Response offers targeted support for agencies facing high-profile or sensitive incidents. The program aims to enhance officer safety, wellness, agency effectiveness, and community policing practices nationwide.
Eligible applicants include law enforcement stakeholder associations for CRI-TAC and for-profit, nonprofit, and higher education institutions for Critical Response. For-profit organizations must forgo profit or management fees.
