This program funds projects that protect specialty crops, nursery systems, forestry, and other agricultural production from invasive plant pests and diseases. Funded activities include pest and disease survey, domestic inspection, pest identification and diagnostics, nursery protection, public outreach, and rapid response. Projects must align with one or more of six goal areas and support prevention, detection, or mitigation efforts.
Eligible applicants include state governments, federally recognized tribal governments, public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, industry, and other state and federal agencies. Specific eligible suggesters include state departments of agriculture, tribal
