The UNITE program funds applied project teams formed by U.S. universities, companies, and Saudi institutions to address workforce and development challenges in high-demand sectors like AI, cybersecurity, and critical minerals. Each team receives seed awards up to $25,000 to produce deliverables such as curricula or technical roadmaps that foster durable Saudi-American academic and industry collaboration. A single U.S. academic partner manages the portfolio, and all projects require a 1:1 cost-share match to ensure commitment and sustainability.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, public and private educational institutions (preferably U.S. higher education), public international organizations, and governmental institutions. Applicants must demonstrate institutional commitment via a 1:1 cost-share match.
